Saturday 1st October will see the 16 mile race and 16 mile or 23 mile walk staged in the North Eastern Peak District all organised by and in aid of Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team. 4.5 mile Family walk option to get the kids started.
Details can be found at www.woodheadmrt.org
Come and have a day out and support Mountain Rescue whilst you do it.
John Howe gave me some entry-forms & posters yesterday, when he called in to 'deliver' to where I work.
I told him I'll consult 'management' (SWMBO) about it.... then look at the work rostering, & see if I can get there this year (possibly, with a club-mate)
I will be supporting this, I aim to have a go at running the 23 mile course.
I didn't realise it was for MRT, so that's even better!
If there's any other slow newbies out there that fancy a chug around with me (somewhere near the back), I'd welcome the company!
I intend to be there, done it the last two years and it's always fun, always good food at the end and for a great cause![]()
I'll be there, not sure if I'm guarding the bog monster or running sweep.

I'll be having a trot around the long course. Look forward to seeing you Joester.
I'm planning on having a run round too. had a run up cut gate to the trig on outer edge last week and it was surprisingly dry.....
