Is daz h disqualified from this thread for the crime of contradiction??![]()
Never mind. As Balfour said "nothing matters very much, and few things matter at all" and the Forum is clearly an example of the latter.
As far as I am concerned daz is one of the good guys on the Forum and I will forgive him anything and everything.
And Miss Julie? Intriguing.
daz is definitely one of the nice guys and always worth listening to. Contradiction? I think not it's not like he said one thing and then the opposite the next day, we are nothing with out education and most continue to learn, with new knowledge comes new opinions...
Miss julie....Lola?![]()
But will Daz come to change his mind about the giant tattoo on his back- it's a MOOT point!!!! hehehehe

Didn't we do this subject after Dunnerdale 2009? If i remember correctly it didn't amount to a hill of beans, but nice to see the chairman is back on form with his quotations.
Im sure our fra secretary mr b will remember the conversation i had with him about bumbags. I Asked him about how some runners in races have smaller bumbags. He told me it was possible to screw your kit down to nothing. He used the example of probably one of the worlds best fellrunners. At the time i actually told him it wasnt and indeed had the opinion that runners were beating me because of the weight advantage.Every week i just left my waterproof jacket, bottoms in my bag loose with 2 x gels, compass and map and i could barely fasten it.Thats why i first put two red tie wraps on the zippers on the bumbag.Fast forward towards the middle of 2010 and i actually asked a fellracer thats won everything in the sport about a lot of things including how i could get faster.I learnt more in those 15 mins than i had done since i had started fellracing. He told me how to train for my age, what to eat, how much to eat, and various other things. One thing he noticed was why was i carrying shotblock gels on the outside of my bumbag with an elastic band, simple because i couldnt fit then in.He then opened his bumbag and showed me his.I was amazed. Everything in place and folded immaculatley. Since that day ive improved more than i can now imagine. As for the bumbag think folding, a few cycling books as a weight , then elastic bands. So yes i did change my mind, yes i learnt to be more proffesional, yes i trained more etc etc etc.I stopped blaming others for me not applying myself and ive had a great year.As for bumbags, well i didnt need one today at bradbourne.Goodnight
Daz PM me what he told you about training and eating and I won't tell anyone.
