    Some great pics there.

But they always manage to catch me when I'm doing something not particularly impressive (easily done), like rummaging though my bum-bag or tip-toeing over some rocks. It'd be good if photographers could shout a warning so that I can quickly adopt a herioc pose of some sort or start running if I'm going uphill. Just an idea.

Wow! Fantastic. Will print out and put on my fridge (and change the man to woman of course!!!) Get in that arena and sweat........

    Thanks!! I took them

It was incredibly busy at times with runners climbing up Lingmoor; I hoped to capture everyone with their faces in view. Bit difficult when you're slogging up a hillside, concentrating where you put your feet.

Would be good if fellrunners acted like road runners and took the same route, make it easier for photographers. But that just ain't going to happen

It was hard to smile at that point, I was in a private world of pain.

EDIT: Thanks to Ze Monsta for pointing out below that this was posted in the wrong "Three Shires" thread. Now hopefully posted in the right place: 3 shires ldwa

Anyone doing The Three Shires (EVENT FULL) this year? Sat 31st Mar 2012 - Staffs, Cheshire, Derbys (options up to 29 miles)

I've never done an LDWA event before so hoping there will be some other runners going round at my sort of pace (approx equivalent to 3 - 3.5 hour marathon but accounting for terrain and ascent etc ).

Q for anyone who's done it previously - I'm assuming fell shoes are appropriate?

Erm, think this is on the wrong thread, this is for the Three Shires race from Little Langdale in September.
