Theres so many things to do though dom.5 long long hill reps on the bike today and an hour on the rollers. Oh and an 8 mile run.Just watching the re run of the womens road race.
Have to say im over half way through the race and talk about plod around.
Rubbish.
I dont knock womens racing as im a big fan but that pace is no faster than a very good club rider.
Not good at all.
Hang on a dutch woman has took off.
Is it ?

Ten minutes after the finish and harmon hasnt even mentioned nicole cookes 4 th.Oh he has hes just mentioned it
50sharpish miles earlier. Should have been steady as my back was aching after yesterdays recce. Was okay until mr mapei past me after id just turned onto the a6. I wasnt having that and past him. He hung on for a few miles then i turned left at whatstandwell and started climbing. I saw him again after i dropped down to black rocks.Coming back my old roadie friend mr motorpoint came by as id just stopped to send a text. Caught up and we worked through and off down the a6 till my turn off at makeney.Nice night but first ride with lights on.
Quick spin on the roadbike as recovery after yesterdays little race... Running muscles and upper body sore, cycling legs defo ok: 35 kms in just over an hour... ok, it was flat-ish and I was taking it easy...
I agree with you about womens racing Daz. Mostly pretty boring! They all potter around the laps at a steady pace and then there is a bunch sprint finish :/ It is why I prefer to train and race with the men... infinitely more exciting!
Well done on your 3 peaks.70 mins on my rollers tonight. Very hot Was going to be it but badger gave me that look and i went for a 5 mile run.
Is summer back?!?
Didn't have long but just back from a 40 mile spin. Took the garmin today to pin point miles markers instead of me having to guess all the time! Not quite sure I like that speedo thingy me bob, it makes you peddle harder.
Went West Lancs way taking in the rolling hills where I could including Parbold Hill. Went up there pre summer in the last cassette being reduced to a stand near the top, sat spinning all the way today with 2 gears left to play with!
STILL windy though but sooooo sunny and lovely, not too many bikies out today, they must all be playing out in the Trough
Ave speed 18mph, nice bit of flat dual carriageway on the way back for a good 4 miles although wasn't impressed as it wasn't a tail wind, managed to get to 26mph though :w00t: then the legs went wobbly so cruised (?!) the last 2 miles at 20mph.
40 miler on Friday on a grand day out.
Got the bug and cycled down to Hebden Bridge to watch son's football (10m) and then back via Cragg vale road.(longest climb in country) Followed by two short sharp 400ft climbs to get home. (another 15 mile)
Legs tired but body and mind are at peace.
