Three Peaks Cyclocross

I admit I did so much running, even though I am not supposed to with my dodgy knee, that I was thinking about getting back to fell running... It is much easier to run without a bike on ones back!

I would like to blame this uncharacteristic display of gentlemanliness for my subsequent failure to keep up with you, however I fear it was more likely to be my lack of appropriate training and rubbish descending.

Think I will be sticking to fell races where you don't have to carry a bike in future!

....Didn't see Stolly on Ingleborough... Not sure if you were around somewhere, but whatever happened, I could not see you anyway. I did accuse a bloke in an orange jacket of being you though, as I spotted an orange blob somewhere but he insisted he wasn't you!

Hann I ran up from Austwick and it was pot luck as to where the race would be by the time I hit the summit of Ingleborough. As it turned out by some stroke of genius I hit the summit about 3 or 4 minutes before the race leaders. I then ran off to the turn for Cold Cotes on Little Ingleborough where I chatted to the two marshals there and watched maybe the first 20 cyclocrossers go by. I was just in a tee shirt though and couldn't really hang about in the mist very long

Wish I'd not been running elsewhere and had seen this race! I watched a video on facebook today (just seen that its on here too)...awesome stuff. Well done to everyone that took part.:thumbup:

Stolly, pity not to have seen you but... I doubt I'd have seen you, with the lack of visibility and my glasses troubles! And it was pretty grim up there too! Your 'arty' pictures show quite how bad it was!
