I guess it makes sense (for the 100 especially) to have someone else there to get you home again afterwards

In my opinion you need to stop over on Sunday night as well to recover fully if you're driving yourself back. It's what I've done every time.

Is that because you drank about 10 pints in the pub on the Sunday Nick?

I don`t think it is free to camp on sunday as far as I know a seperate arrangement has to be made with the caretaker.

Of wine, Will? It was a good evening but I do remember coming over all tired again. :closed:

John, you might be partly right but I'm not sure any palms have to be crossed with silver? Last year only a handful stayed on Sunday night. I do recall mention of the caretaker but there were no facilities, not even toilets. The school was locked up by Sunday evening.
Unlike last year, this year the field was full, as you will know. I wasn't camping this time so I don't know what the situation was on Sunday night but I do know they had much better facilities over the weekend, the best ever in fact.

I've entered the 50 for next year.

    Now entered the L50.

It's unbelievable that for a race that opened 10 days ago and costs £70 there are nearly 400 entries!

Should be a cracking race with all those people - the ones I normally enter have about 100 people and after 20 miles you're often on your own until the end.
