I uploaded my report on Ultraploddernick. Unfortunately Blogspot is broken yet again and does not allow comments on others' blogs, among other defects like not being able to log on in the first place. I did try many times to comment on yours, Mike D-H. It was good to run and chat with you before you finally left me for dead with 6 miles to go. Well done with your strong finish.

You make me laugh! - I resent the implication that I was one of the 'more capable runners' (from your blog) - I nearly burst into tears on that last hill before the finish - and again when the chap sitting next to the big green sign saying 'Finish' explained that that was the finish for the fell race - and I actually had another 200 yards to go.

Great blog, I see we have been to many of the same events over the last year or so (except I was always a walker).

Where was this big green 'Finish' sign then? I don't recall seeing it. Perhaps my detour and finish along the road caused me to miss it, and PlumBum.

because it is classed as walk results aren't given for the long, you also have the problem of various start times, Eg Mrs Stagger set off about 90 minutes after the first walkers went so trying to sort that out is a nigthmare, the race is timed by PB, Spoke to KingSnail last night and told him to get the results sorted.

Soz for the extra 200 yds but your tears must have affected your vision as the big green sign was an A4 bit of laminated paper with red writing saying finish.
