Oh, if only I'd seen your message then I would have! Or maybe not. Anyway, here's the track. Probably not a right lot of use as the maps on Garmin Connect are rubbish. It was a nice run though. A few bits of road that weren't good in Mudclaws, but other than that I enjoyed it. Navigationally very straight-forward, other than a small section early on that could be tricky under snow. But nothing a compass bearing wouldn't sort out. Some of the paths could be interesting if it's icy as they're very wet. The out and back makes up 32k of the total 61, so pretty much half.

It had better be icy - I've just ordered a pair of Kahtoolas!

I just hope it's clear one way or another... I don't want to carry them round and not use them, but then I don't want to leave them only to find there's ice around.

Recced the loop from Patterdale today... I make it pretty much 28k with about 1100m climb, making 60k and about 2000m for the whole thing. The climb up to Grisedale Tarn from Dunmail would be interesting under snow and ice.

If there's enough snow and ice for climbing (I wish), then there'll be a well worn trail

It was. I'm hoping for more of the same again so I can wear the Kahtoolas I bought last winter, just as the thaw set in. Never worn them yet.

    Grisedale Tarn.

Well I'm hoping for 12 inches of snow & no ice. Because I've not got any Kahtoolas.

Any updates on this? I mailed Nav4 a week ago to double check it's going ahead as it clashes with other things, as yet i've had no response.

    Cheers, Ken
