haven't really got the money nor the justification to spend lots, but I am definitely going to invest in a decent saddle etc - after all I can upgrade bits and bobs like that as I go

Freewheel in Hockley are good when you want a saddle.
You can get there and back in your lunch break!!

dont bother with a new saddle
get a padded saddle cover if your bum hurts , dearer saddles arnt that more comfy

As little as possible. I hate the hairdressers. The most tedious experience in the world. I make myself go probably 4 times a year.
