Hi Karen. Nick did it last year, but conditions were snowy. It could be very different this year. I'd have thought you'd get round in well under 9 hours, assuming no snow or ice. I haven't measured it myself, but the given distance of 38 miles & climb of 2200m looks OK for that sort of time, & it's all on tracks & good paths. I'm expecting to get just under 9 hours, but I'm not fit at the moment.

I can't find the results for last year so have no idea what sort of times people were taking though I'm sure the snow and ice slowed most folk down.

Does anyone know where last year's results can be found?

    Re: Tour de Helvellyn

Karen, Richard, it took me 11:05 to do it last year, with perfect navigation. I would hope to be quicker than that this year. It's the only time I've finished (equal) last in an event before the DNFs kicked in. Karen, you should be able to do sub 9 hours, but the weather really is the luck of the draw.
I have last year's results in pdf format but there is no way to communicate them on a forum. Any suggestions anybody? All I can think of is if you PM me your email address and I email them to you.

old un, I suggest you email Joe about entries. I don't know about local cheap B&Bs. Try a Google search perhaps? I'll be in the Queen's Head.

Bad news Nee Bother (perhaps you should add a 'K' to your name; sorry ). Try walking instead of running until it improves. Hopefully it will have recovered somewhat by TdH. All the best.
