Any news on the camper van?
Hi to all.Entered my 1st fell races this summer and enjoyed them all. Will be entering this race for the 1st time,any1 got any tips?cheers,Dave![]()
Just enjoy yourself! It's a fantastic little race, one of my favourites in the calendar. Will be there on the 12th with a group from Settle, can't wait.
My tips would be - don't go at it too hard, it's short but feels a lot longer, and arrive early to get a good spot, just roadside parking.

This is a great race - always used to be my favourite short race.
There'll be a decent-sized crowd from Pennine there as it's in our club championship. I'll be out on the course somewhere with my daughter taking photos and giving encouragement.
As for tips - run hard on the uphills then even harder on the downhills. Take a map (and the knowledge of how to use it) - quite a few went wrong in the mist in 2005.
Good pictures,looking forward to sat![]()
Weathers looking ok for tomorrow.
Just to warn all of you guys with weak hearts...One of our younger, prettier members is hosting her hen day at the Dunnerdale. Lots of crazy Ambleside chicks running in an assortment of mini kilts (the bride to be is Scottish), veils, L plates and other hennish, scottish paraphanalia and probably reverting to silly, loud giggly behaviour. Planning on taking over the pub afterwards too so....you have been warned!
