great race great weather and great pies
only bad thing was that i could not keep up with the hens who were running like spring chickens!!
thanks to the marshalls and organisers for a great race
Brilliant race, thanks to marshalls and organisers. The weather was superb, overheating in a vest in mid November!
Enjoyed the meat pie & tea after, but enjoyed the five minute improvement on last year even more.
Did 'The Hat' enjoy it?
great race thanks to all, extra bar staff innt blacksmiths wouldnt hurt tho, long que for my well earned pint but it was worth the wait!
Beat a couple of folk who i don't usually get near today, i must be getting better or something. Had to dash straight off at the end and make a 100 mile detour to return some doorkeys, didn't have chance to get a pie. Cheers organisers and marshals, what a classic race. Mmm, pie.
Cheers to the nice lass who lent me her phone if you're on here.
What a great day! Great organisation, great route, great weather and great pies (sorry Mr Brightside). Only downside was falling a over t into a bog after checkpoint 2. I am sure all the muck slowed me down!
It was a fantastic day. I sank upto my thighs in a bog between Stickle Pike and Great Stickle. That'll teach me to stray from the path. I mad sprint for the finish line, going neck and neck with another chap and unfortunately he just managed to pull ahead in the last fraction of a second. A good dramatic end to a fantastic race. Bring in next year.Mike.
