Lets nor compare Zep and Sabbs. Sabbs are on their own and quite, quite brilliant. Spiral Architect is one of my fave tracks from any band and totally unique. Iommi is a class musician and Ozzy an arch interpreter. They are not for everyone but no-one can doubt their influence.

Both sabbath and zep were fantastic bands, but sabbath will always be the first heavy metal band. And for that reason alone, all hail the mighty sabbath.

Black Sabbath, the first album, is still the greatest album cover ever....and the intro played with the lights out and headphones on is sheer class.
