Cold round here too. By necessity did 12 brisk(ish) road miles on the lanes around the back of Pannal and Burn Bridge. I always feel uncomfortable round there, keep thinking someone in a tweed cap, a shotgun and a superior attitude is going to appear and order me off their land.

Steady trot up the Beacon, over to Ilkley and back home on Dales Way. Called for coffee and cake in Ilkley

Saturday 20k, along Dalesway to Ilkley then up to Middleton across to Roundhill and along to Beamsley, did not stop in Ilkley for coffee and cakes like some, but it was an ab-fab day out.

35k/2600m from Braithwaite over Cat Bells, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head, Hindscarth, Robinson, down to Buttermere, up to Whiteless Pike, Grasmoor, Hopegill Head, Grisedale Pike and back down to Braithwaite. Stunning weather again. Sharper wind today on the tops. A grand day out.

    Re: Today's Training

Approx 12 miles over Rombalds (again), took Alfie, my trusty black and tan Jack Russell (see pic, sorry a bit small, can't figure out how to enlarge it once on the forum). Absolutely beautiful day, sunshine, all bogs frozen solid, clean crisp air, nice crunch of ice and frost underfoot. Met up with some fellsmen from Ilkley Harriers who were recceing Rombalds stride and generously allowed me to tag along for a while, unfortunately Alfie kept getting under their feet (no sense at all that dog)
