    Who wouldn't be.

Interesting? Certainly but when I played Living with War I was reminded of Greil Marcus' opening sentence in his Rolling Stone review of Dylan's Self-Portrait: "What is this sh*t?"

Eventually I threw the CD away.

I never bought it. I was more impressed by his attitude towards the fans, who were sickened by his anti-war stance, than the album itself. There's some interesting documentary footage of the Living with War Tour, he alienated a lot of fans by slagging off G W Bush. It's a shame he couldn't have done it with a better record musically, but he did it nonetheless.

A bit like Self Portrait then.

I respect Dylan for releasing it which was brave (or for whatever reason because I doubt even Dylan knows why now) but it was and still is a pretty awful record.

    I mean Blue Moon!!!

0n the other hand Presley released Blue Moon on his first "long player" in 1956 along with Tutti Frutti and Blue Suede Shoes.

    Context is everything.

As it's Burns Night, a little trip North seems in order...

One of the best posts I have ever seen!

I have long been fascinated by the provenance of songs. But even bob dylan was not whiter than white.

I have loved Bobby Parker's Watch Your Step since 1961 when it was issued on London HLU 9393. Every UK R&B band played it then but it was never a hit in the UK and it only got to #51 in the USA (V Tone 223) and was Parker's only Hot 100 entry.

The riff was also plagiarised by John Lennon for I Feel Fine.
