I'm going to do it as its local and I haven't raced for ages. The terrain and amount of climbing should be relatively moderate with a few technical and steep sections, but other than that relatively straightforward, but fast and with some navigation decisions in places.

a fair crowd to follow and, if sunny, cracking views and an even easier-to-see route with a couple of energy-sapping little climbs thrown in along the way (and a polish family to frighten the bejesus out of as you cross Burbage beck. Well, the last time I did it anyway).

Just a note about parking on Sunday. If the weather has been poor (which is likely) the field won't be available for use on the day. Might be an idea to car share or find parking around long line etc.

    Cheers.

I see that entry on the day is accepted BUT there's a limit of 300 AND 350 ish did it last year. From this info, what do you think are the chances of actually being able to enter on the day??

Anyone got a map? Or know where I can get one - looked on the Totly website, already.

Quick note the CP 7 (Carl Walk) is at the north side, so you have to climb the summit then proceed straight on to the back of the old fort (north). Last years runners were on a whinging mission.

I'd be fairly sure they will accept all entries on the day.

Another great day out today, thanks to the organisers and marshalls for a cracking event
Does anyone know if the poor chap from Totley (I think) who hurt his ankle on houndkirk Moor is OK?
He was obviously in agony and it looked pretty nasty.
