Good to chat to you too, Steve. I like stats. You were a bit off in 2009 given the perfect conditions. 2010 was the shortened route. Therefore I'd say 2012 is your PB year. Well done.
These are my stats:
2007 4:37
2008 4:32
2009 4:08
2010 4:30 (must rank as a PW)
2011 4:25
2012 4:30 (you nearly caught me, and I didn't stop at any checkpoint; it was self-sufficiency and eyeballs out all the way)
Ha ha! I like it. My pleasure was a couple of pints of Tetleys.
Tea.
My first go so no idea with times. Disappointed not to get closer to 4 hours but having heard all the above maybe it was Ok ish. Need some more training and get rid of post xmas chub and ski excess. Having hit 50+ just seem to find more and more bits of me are failing to work as expected!
Did not stop for any food and drink- I need to sort this out as spent all Sun drinking so was obviously dehydrated.
Still i did go and do a Night O race that eve, did not do as well as usual but not dreadful either.
My first time doing this too, managed to take a tumble with left foot down a hole near CP5 and pulled left calf:w00t:, had to limp final 4 miles home, managed 4.16 so quite chuffed given the gale force winds and claggy mud. Absolutely brilliantly organised and supported throughout, an outstanding event. Will be back next year
Those are some pretty good times in those conditions. Well done Karen and protodoc.
I can see this event filling earlier in future years.
I took a few pictures at the start and finish, but made no time to take any during the run this time so I could push for a fast finish (yeah, right).![]()
That bloke on the right has a funny hat, wonder how he found his way round with that on, must be local:wink:

You need to watch him cos he's watching you. He's got X-ray vision to see through that.
How's the calf now, protodoc? Hope it's getting better. You're a bit far away though. Not sure if this'll work .....
