It’s a well established tradition on this forum (or at least it should be!) that when entries open for a race that's going to be oversubscribed, you don’t post anything about it for at least two days. What you should do is just let your friends know so that they can secure an entry. The trouble is that now everyone knows! Eeeek.

£22 for a fell race? That's just plain daft. Grisedale 'orseshoe instead...£5 on the day...not so far to travel...and they say it's a cracking race.
