You could open a big debate on that one Fleeter.
I reckon Grisdale Horseshoe on the same day (which is £17 cheaper I hasten to add) is by far the better race.
I printed off my Ben entry form then decided to give it away.............so it's Grisedale for me again this year. No hassle with silly pre-entry procedures and extortionate fees on that one. Yippeeeeee!

The ben just has that added something......

Grisedale is a great race, but there is something about a race to the top of the highest mountain in Britain and back that just does it for me, in my opinion the best race route that i have run is Buttermere but for the occasion the Ben trumps it...just

Nothing to do with the large amount of alcohol you'll consume in fort bill on Saturday night young Fleeter

We Southerners should be allowed to enter a day earlier to give the letter a chance to get there!

Just spotted that myself as well:

Committee spokesman Damian Forster said: “This will be a considerable cost to the BNRA which has a low entry fee in comparison to any other event of this stature."

Is that right? Don't Ennerdale and Wasdale have the same stature for half the price? And if the t-shirt is a factor, doesn't the OCT have one of those?

Hmm low entry fee, I'm not so sure about that, as much as I want to do it it could'nt be classed as low. Come and do the Manx Mountain Marathon now theirs value per mile
