A proper trip out today with filthy Rich,
Yorkshire Bridge, Win Hill-Loose Hill-Druid stone-Kinder Blackden Trig, Lockerbrook Heights-Fairholmes-Lost Lad-Backtor-back along ridge to Ladybowyer Inn and then back to car.
18 miles-5,000ft 4.55 hours including a mug of tea at Fairholmes, saw more women today than men including Bionic Betty which was good as we were running the Valentine Ladybower round(draw it on a map! its heart shaped!!) Pint of Blonde in the Ladybower afterwards.... great run although still plenty of frozen ground. I'll work out the weeks total later

Nice little run out from home along Lea Green to Conistone Dib, then up the Bycliffe Road and on to the top of Capplestone Gate, followed the wall down to Mossdale Caverns track, returned back to Grassington via Bare House. Still plenty of snow about, knee deep in places on the tops.

An icy blast round the Fairfield Horseshoe yesterday and a loop from Clapham over Ingleborough with the girlfriend today. Finally seem to have shaken off the dodgy chest gremlin.

14 icy and slippery miles from Thruscross reservoir, up onto Barden Fell and then Simon's Seat, back via the trail to the North of Rocking Hall and the grouse moors. Still lots of snow up around Simon's Seat. Lots of grouse around too!

47 miles and 6000ft, a bit dissapointed with the climbing but it would have been more if Mickledon wasn't cancelled.

Monday night race 6.35 miles 1020ft climb
supposed to be an easy trail 10 miler this morning, 10 mile trail it was, easy it was not. still lots of snow and ice out there so had a mixed run of rutted ice or deep crusty snow, still it's all good for the legs...
    This week 41 miles 7,500ft
a mixture of the ice and feeling a bit feverish meant I took 3 days off at the end of the week. School hols this week so not sure what will happen.

A mile in the pool today for me, after a crazy splash round with the children.
Then tomorrow I'll be up Simon's Seat if any Forumites are up & about ? Best view in Yorkshire in my opinion from the top.

9 km on the flat with the dog, after a week off with a sore toe. It's the furthest he's run yet, but I'm the one feeling it. It's amazing how far back a week off can knock you when you're getting on a bit...

Which way do you go up Jez? I was up on Simon's Seat yesterday afternoon, then ran back to West End down the trail past Rocking Hall. Terrific afternoon, clear skies and magnificent views.

Martyn. I always park at Storiths & approach via Hazlewood Moor & White Wham Beck. Then down the Valley of Desolation. Never see a soul on the way up, just the way I like it ! Then it's in to buffers for a nice cuppa. And I always try & sprint up the hill from the ford at the bottom of Pickles Gill at Bolton Abbey back up to Storiths !

Thanks for that. I was looking at the Trollers route yesterday and was trying to work out the approach from the West, because I always go up from Barden Moor. I will give that route a go before too long. Much appreciated.
