Going back to the original point... If I may...
Approaching inov8 3 times with falling apart shoes, I have had nothing but politeness and promptness from their responses. Always happy to listen, send a photo of the shoes in a an email (include the tread to show how much/little they've been used) and wait for a reply. 3 replacement pairs later - a happy customer without bad language or blasphemy - and bad grammar - you're NOT your! Any 15 year old doing GCSE English should know this.
The original forumitte needs to have a good cup of tea - in my opinion. I might do so myself.

I've had 15+ pairs of 330s or 333s as they are now with no problems. There are bound to be a small percentage of duff pairs of any make of shoe that get through the manufacturing process but that is the trade-off between cost and reliability.
It is the exception. At fell races and mountain marathons look how many people are wearing Inov8s. A conservative guess would be 70%. If they always fell apart after a month or two this wouldn't be the case. I work selling off-road shoes and see proportionally no more or less Inov8s returned than any other brand (La Sportiva, Mizuno, Salomon, Walsh, etc). In all brands it's a very, very small amount that come back. The fact we hear more complaints about Inov8 on here is probably because 1) there appears to be a small but dedicated group of posters who enjoy sticking the boot* in to Inov8, and 2) there are probably loads more Inov8s worn by forumites than any other shoe.
*preferably a PB Elite boot, hand-crafted by a gritty Lancastrian in the mid-70s, on its sixth resole, uppers still looking like new
