Many thanks to all at Dark Peak for laying on another great Skyline race.
Thanks also to #675 for kindly showing me the racing line round the woolpacks:thumbup: good on ya fella!

Brilliant day today, a massive thanks to Dark Peak for putting on such a great event. It can't be hard arranging an event as big as the skyline so lots of credit as everything ran very smoothly (to my knowledge at least!).
Personally I'm chuffed to have finally completed the skyline after looking my keys in the car moments before the start last year. It was the first race I ever saw and it inspired me to take up fell running, so it will always be a bit of a special race for me.
Lovely and sunny, although not too sunny I didn't think and it was as big a problem as I thought it might be before we started.
Once again, massive thanks to everyone that helped out!

had an OK run today, really need to spend time knowing the right lines on the second half though. Looking like a boiled lobster at the mo and glowing like Sellafield
me too, though only on one side! Fairly amusing. Cheers DPFR for a great race as usual, I was a lot slower than last year but was happy just to get round given the heat and a last-minute bout of illness(food poisoning....), but then I think it's only the hardcore ones who can stay on their feet for five hours, none of this namby under 3 hours nonsense!
Cracking day for it, the views were fantastic. Thanks to the organizers, all the marshalls, and St Johns Ambulance who patched me up after a trip with 4 to go left me with a hole in my elbow and a decent amount of blood down my arm. Still had a good run, 3hrs 23 which I'm pretty happy with. Always forget how hard the 2nd half is, and the last bit Grindslow Knoll to Ringing Roger seems to take forever...
Well done everyone. I call up on the bike, while doing a few more miles, after my bike ride with the TNT & had a brew & a bun. Was hoping to catch some of you
