Brilliant route you took us on Gary, certainly one I'll have to do again!

    The spring was superb too!

    Lovely!
Ooh no, mustn't forget Scott either. Just that I'd seen Scott not so long back on a Heptonstall recce, and of course, only the day before in Complete Runner!

Watch this space, will definitely be doing more of this session. Have to. I couldn't keep up!! First proper climbing I'd done in a good few months, and it told.

I'd have been dying! Cardio is certainly not my strong point at the minute.

I'll load mine up tonight and post the link so we can gaze at our masterpiece!

I wonder what would have more climbing in per mile....our "Garys Route" of 3009ft in 8ish miles vs "The Pendle Monster"?

The Moster is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far out of my league just yet, but I wouldnt mind eventually doing the "Garys Route double" and bag 6000ft! haha. I doubt id manage 3 hill sprints on the second lap though! haha

    You did well considering Gary!

And anyway, when we got onto the road leading back into Barley, you dropped us young ones and left us for dead!

And scared a few locals too! If Al's not got his on here tonight, I'll get mine on tomorrow at some point.

Was driving past RAF Leeming today, saw what looked like a couple of F15s coming into land. Know anything about this?

Wasn't the cardio for me (see Al's comment about hitting the road at the end), it was the lactic acid in my quads and calves that did for me, just not enough hills in 'em. Then again, day before had been doing deadlifts and Bulgarian bag burpees, and a row sesh...which couldn't've helped!

The double would be a toughy indeed! Monster wins it for me though, mainly cos we weren't out long enough to hit carb deficit...i.e. bonk! Did this big style on the Monster on penultimate climb. Still gives me nightmares from time to time! *shudders*

No clue mate, I'm still in Lancs this week!

Deffo possible though, its just an exercise and training base for aircraft now, there are all sorts of aircraft coming in and out on a daily basis!

The spotters even have their own car-park!

I know it's Pendle fell race today, but I'll be doing another Pendle hill session tomorrow. 8am(ish) tomorrow from Barley car park. Anyone up for it?

No worries Al. Thinking of running over from Nelson for the start, then run back. Will let you know about next Saturday.
