Blimey, lots of injuries! Best of luck to everyone with recovery. I am still touch and go due to severe skin loss at the Highlander. I will try out some of my shoes tonight to see which ones minimize pain and rubbing.

Sometimes I wonder why I am so eager to torture myself in new and imaginative ways...

Just been checking weather forecast for Saturday and it doesn't look too bad. Brighter with a chance of showers and it lists the visibility for Ingleton as good and Buckden and Dent as very good. Let's hope that they have it right!

By the time I get to Buckden, the visibility will be 'dark'.

Unfortunately not Erich, it still aches in the right knee but I have managed to cycle up some nice punishing hills without any problem so at least I can maintain my fitness to some extent, I still intend to support Martyn Price on his BGR attempt 8th June so I have something concrete to focus on and work towards. Still up for frostbite 50 next January too.

Karen, I've got my fingers crossed for you. The same goes for everyone else for whom participation is looking marginal. For all those who definitely can't, get well soon.

I've been riveted by the route choice suggestions across the new section. I've not done it before but what I was planning to do has been well confirmed. I knew that there was a good line along the N Easterly wall to Gilbert Lane because we used to cross that to go through a hand gate in the wall on the last but one route, when the Hell Gap checkpoint really was at Hell Gap. Then it moved to Stake Moss. Now it's at Grey Horse.

Stolly, dont climb up to the top fence line like you were suggesting. That's back onto the old route on the watershed and right into the thick of the bogs and hags.

Thanks Nick. I haven't got my map to hand but from the google satellite view its looking steady east to east north east from the MT CP, maybe with a tad of a turn more north easterly as I get nearer Gilbert Lane. Jobs a good 'un

I'm amazed that the thread traffic for the last few days has been solely concerned with the 7 mile section from Fleet Moss to Hell's Gap.

Should I be worried? what about the other 55 miles.........
