I think you are right with the climbing. I have decent speed for my level, which means I can get by in the PPP (usually) where I finished just in front of you in 2011, but clearly then on a race with more climb and importantly decent, I come a cropper and you got around.

Interesting your comment about the cross trainer. I used to go to the gym a couple of times a week and do a 1000 cal burn on the cross trainer. I stopped after I had a partial prolapsed disc and have never gone back, but I probably climbed better then than I do now and perhaps the cross trainer has something to do with that.
