13 mile jaunt around Nidderdale, starting in Pateley Bridge and then around the perimiter hills (Yorke's Folly etc) before dropping back down into the town. Pretty warm out there!

Quick 7km run at Lyme park for me today, would have been longer but I turned my ankle and had to head back. Not feeling too bad now, so probably did the right thing.

Glorious day to be outside today, felt like the king of the world standing on the little pyramid at bowstones!

Me too!! Don't know how I managed the last 5 miles. Total heat exhaustion by the finish. Sad to see the amount of people collapsing in the last 3 miles. Rubbish time but I'm gonna be back next year to smash it. Training in the sauna and the fridge to cover all angles. Today is usually my long run training day but we have decided to be "ladies that lunch" at the Ladybower inn instead :-)

    Re: Today's Training

On Sunday I did 2 hours on the hills back of my house, there has been one that I could see and not yet run up, so I ticked that one off, and then ran on the road to catch up with the wife who was running her own little route on the lanes around our village.

Yesterday me and my mate went to run up Queensbury Hill in D&G. We got “disorientated” in the low cloud. My mate was supposed to be navigating as he had done the run before (if I was navigating we might still be up there). We ran passed one cairn then about ½ hour latter I am sure we pasted the same one again. In the end we had to bin it as we ran out of time because I had to go to work in the afternoon. Once we worked out where we were it was no problem. Still a good run, and the hill will be there for another day.

Another tough day, early morning swim, then walk of 2 miles each way for a job interview. 3 mile run along the canal in just over 20 minutes. 15 minutes hill training on the cross trainer, 20 miles on the exercise bike on hill mode (boring I know) and then 10 reps of our block of flats, 5 stories.

    Re: Today's Training

I also did 3 miles along the canal towpath yesterday but in almost 24 mins so nowhere near as fast as young Tom!

Today - a 15+ mile/1350ft footpath/bridleway/woodland/reservoir path run at 'LDWA pace' in the glorious Washburn Valley - from Lindley Bridge to A59 at Fewston Res (Blubberhouses car park) via Dob Park Bridge & Timble, back along res paths to Swinsty Moor car park, past Gareth Southgate's humble abode and back up to Norwood Edge Plantation & Lindley Wood Top/Greystone Beck before dropping back to Lindley Bridge - then the 'sad' bit of a short out and back to get over 15 miles (14.87 wouldn't do !!)
