Had a run up to Peel Tower last night - a guesstimate is that it's about 800' of climb or so - distance out and back is about 5.5 miles. Not quite up to the Hept Fest course length/climb. It looked glorious last night - watched the sun set down the Rossendale Valley on the way up the hill and enjoyed the bats on the way down again.

Lets hope we get some more nights like that soon - its turned a bit wet again

Anyone got a route profile for festival race? We can add it to the website

I'm a luddite and don't have a garmin or anything like that. I took stats for the Peel Tower run off the OS map as best I could .

Problem solved - Jedi took his iphone on tonight's run (my 4th run of the route since Monday - 24miles 6000 feet so far)
Hoping Jedi will down load profile and post it up for us all to see - think we need to map the nettle patches - my legs are on fire

I got midged to pieces on my last evening run. My forehead looks like a map of a mogul run!

Early morning is the way forward - midges are creatures of dusk

Wonder if Jedi is going to use his day in front of the fire to post that Heptonstall Festival Garmin profile we were promised...........

Just looking at the spot heights - does your profile give data on the highest points ie mid-point, and start/finish? (plus height at the valley bottom)
I heard Kigh Brown Knoll was higher than Stoodley Pike....
