On Sat morning get to Llanberis in good time for the bus (outside the hotel), get on the bus at 7:30 (class A) with all your running kit and £3. Registration is at the starting field at Aber. There is plenty of time for that. Yiannis

I will be leaving Stockport at about 5am on Saturday to get to Llanberis for the Bus. Carshare anyone?

I imagine the new option might be there because it's a less daunting route than the scramble up Y Gribin (or at least appears that way) - can't really think of any other reason, as it's definitely significantly slower than the direct route.

Couple of us reccied Y Gribin on Monday and came down the alternate route as I haven't been that way before. Absolutely, up Y Gribin is the only route choice. Can't imagine going the other way. Gribin is a pleasant scamble, gets you up there nice and quick and gives the legs a rest because there is more emphasis on the arms.
