Loved it today, tough but a good race. Thanks to all the organisers and marshalls, especially on the very very steep hill when they pretended I was going fast!

    What's this race like?

    Traily?

Looks a lot of bridleway running, I'm struggling with a foot injury so may come over and run around this to check it out, but I struggle with proper fell terrain?

Is there a map anywhere? Say's on this thread one is on the hayfield races site but i can't see it..

    Cheers

    Iain

In addition to Steve's map that Daz posted above, the race starts from the Scout Hut in Hayfield and goes clockwise.

It's a nice route (I'll be marshalling this year on Mill Hill), with very little out and out fell terrain.

The race is a fund raiser for the Scouts, so it would be good to see as many as possible there.

The terrain shouldn't trouble your foot. The only section which might be problematic is across the Kinder Plateau.

    Re: Kinder Trog 2010

Last year 3 of us couldn't find the scout hut at the end of the race so we asked a local who said "...scout hut? Oh, you want Hayfield!! This is New Mills!" The schlepp along the trail back went on for ages and one of the guys I was with actually accepted a lift back!
