Loved it today, tough but a good race. Thanks to all the organisers and marshalls, especially on the very very steep hill when they pretended I was going fast!

Results now available on the URL below - thanks to Ian of Hayfield Scouts for these.
Cheers, Steve
Well done to my wife who knocked over an hour off her previous time :-)
What's this race like?
Traily?
Looks a lot of bridleway running, I'm struggling with a foot injury so may come over and run around this to check it out, but I struggle with proper fell terrain?
Is there a map anywhere? Say's on this thread one is on the hayfield races site but i can't see it..
Cheers
Iain

little bit of everything, but yeah mainly traily
great route though, one of my faves - I'm missing it this year though cos supporting a BG
In addition to Steve's map that Daz posted above, the race starts from the Scout Hut in Hayfield and goes clockwise.
It's a nice route (I'll be marshalling this year on Mill Hill), with very little out and out fell terrain.
The race is a fund raiser for the Scouts, so it would be good to see as many as possible there.
Last year 3 of us couldn't find the scout hut at the end of the race so we asked a local who said "...scout hut? Oh, you want Hayfield!! This is New Mills!"The schlepp along the trail back went on for ages and one of the guys I was with actually accepted a lift back!
