You will be able to park in the Scout Hut field I will be at the front door of the scout hut at 10am.

It is actually a fair way up to where those blokes went wrong after the New Allotments, it will be over a mile and all uphill

No, that turn should be OK.. touch wood.. its just the final few turns..

Most of the route looks pretty easy macro nav though I'm a bit worried about the pathless bit between kinder low and pt 489? is that a check point there too?

Just seen there is not, the next point is Big Stone, but I have no idea where BS is.. GR would be handy...

Bit confused by this (easily done I know ) but do you have to follow the route as marked on the map or just nav between the checkpoints?

That is no problem very clear trod the whole way down to the Sett crossing. there will be loads of people about and it is flagged from kinder low to to Edale Cross then the good trod.

Really this is a race where there is not many options for significant shortcuts.

Was planning to run this tomorrow.
Is the race likely to be affected by the heavy rain last night or is it still going ahead?

Very unlikely to be cancelled, I would say. Might be best run in wellies though...

    Cheers, Steve

the only very wet section is between chunel junction and the beginning of the flagged section to mill hill
and the section before south head

Having not done the race I'm obviously speaking from a position of complete ignorance here but is the section from Edale Cross to point 489 flagged as from the map a contouring route would appear better
