In the Lakes with the family during first week of August. Hoping to watch some of this race, any ideas of best places to be.

If it's clear I reckon somewhere on the side of Gable with a pair of binoculars would be good - you can see most of the corridor route from there. Across from the scree descent off Scafell Pike (so side of Broad Crag), would be alright too.

If you can get up to Esk Hause shelter and then head down to Styhead Tarn you will see the race twice and have a good day out. If the family decline this Honister is a reasonable race view point; though it is ugly in itself there are things to do.

I am very keen to do this but didn't get an entry in in time. Does anyone have an entry going that they no longer need?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm also looking for a last-minute Borrowdale entry if anyone has another entry they no longer need (after Rollerblader of course).

    Thanks, Jasmin

    Map for Borrowdale

    Hi everyone,

What is the best map I can get as a back up for the Borrowdale race. I am going to get the race map, but thought I may as well get one of the surrounding area as well (as I seem to be there quite often at the moment). I'm looking for a laminated map if possible and would like it in 1 - 25000 if available.

    Any ideas ???

    Dan
