The 50 for me too this year, less distance every year Though hopefully faster and will be refreshing as not run the Dalemain-Coniston stretch since 2010 event.

Oh! So a few will be there. I'm going to camp on the Friday just to make it simpler...and I fancy a little camp out in my wee one man!!

Seriously though, like Steve says, the fifty is a serious undertaking, especially this year when, judging by the way the weather's shaping up, the conditions might be even more hostile than usual to our feet. I'm almost relieved I'm not entered for the 100 this year.
I was recce'ing Pooley-High Street the other day and it was wet but not horrendous. It might get muddy with all those people through it mind. I'm guessing thats the main wet/boggy section.

Seconded, I've watched them all a few times, John and Dave Troman have done an excellent job.

You can even have a go at guessing John's time for the 100.

Will also be getting ther Friday I think, just too far from Hull to drive to Coniston on a saturday, up tent, sort run stuff, weigh in and reg, sort head! before a 10-10.30am coach. I'd only end up doing something worng and satbotaging my efforts (or thinking I had if I underperformed).

Will go up Friday and watch 100ers off I think, then reg and relax

Good decision DE. That's what I'm doing. We've got to see the 100ers off.

Regarding the end of the festivities, I read in the instructions that camping on the field is not allowed on Sunday night. I hope it doesn't mean that everyone will leave and not party on in the local hostelries on Sunday evening. Is anyone else planning to stay on? I was looking forward to a good party.
