Thanks to all involved for putting on a great race and especially for the weather.

I hadn't recce'd the down and up bit to Laddow rocks and it seemed a bit of a free for all and certainly not runnable (the route I took anyway). I also under-estimated the distance back from Holme Moss back to the start and the final climb al,ost stopepd me in my tracks, however the tea and cake at the end made it all worthwhile.

did anyone else wear a GPS? Mine tracked 17.89 miles! somewhat further than the advertised distance. I can't see how I'd have managed to put an extra two miles in without any obvious nav error.

Yes, my partner wore one and his tracked 17.80 too! He certainly didn't go wrong as he was running my friend around and they ran most of it with the sweeper :-). Unless the sweeper went wrong too ;-)

I think the route changes round Twizle Head Moss increased the distance, much more zig zagging over tough ground - all added to th fun and made tha last climb so much more memorable haha. A great race, thanks to Russ and all involved in the organisation.

I mapped out the route very roughly on 'Where's the path' and it gave me 16 and a bit miles.

I normally feel a bit low after finishing long races.

I mapped it out based on the published map and got 17.3 miles / 4000'. Aged parents thwarted my plans to go and take some pics unfortunately.
