I assume so as I understand that is how it is normally measured but I cannot speak with any authority whatsoever ....

That'd be at anaerobic threshold so, yes, what he can put out for about an hour.. when last tested my power at threshold was 390w and my weight was 79kg giving me a figure of 4.94 watts/kg.. hopefully I've gained a bit of power and weight target for my race this year at beginning of September is 76-77kg so I should be over the 5 mark.. still got some catching up to do!

    How do you calculate that?

    Interesting http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18921784

Cleaner riders having to measure their efforts more sensibly over the whole race responsible for a less exciting "elan and panache" devoid race? I for one don't think it was boring but I'd certainly prefer a bit less excitement than dope fuelled heroics any day.

Ok, my average is 3.96 watts/kg... is that good? Bad? Needs improving no doubt...

Mind, my last lactate treshold test was before the beginning of the season, mid March, so I expect it to have improved a bit now

There's so much more to 'elan and panache' that simply riding a bicycle quickly. That's like saying skiffle is just about the washboard :closed:
