Sounds like Stolly is going well. Should be around Langdales Pikes now

    Keep on moving!

Hows Stolly doing? I haven't much nails left Hop the weather has improved...

Weather glorious here, and I have a new MTB, so I am off out for a round of the Black Muntains on the bike

When I get back I hope to hear tales of success and see a picture of him at Moot Hall

Planning on a long ride then Han? As Stolly is on a 23hr schedule having started at 11pm, I reckon you'll be home before he's finished.

I'm sorry to say that Stolly was forced to pull out on leg 3 at Esk Pike. We were caught in a sudden spell of very bad weather and it all got a bit nasty. We retreated down to Styhead and into Wasdale via the pass and Hes brought Mark and myself back to Dunmail. Stolly is probably fast asleep in his tent outside Keswick right now, I'm sure he'll pass on the full story later on. Brave attempt and disappointing for him, there were patches of blue sky above when we were going up Steel Fell and we all thought it was going to be a good day weather-wise.

It was the Lingmell Dash in Wasdale today, they all seemed to come in OK - you could see the Lingmell summit clearly, so maybe that was one top that escaped it.

Nicky Spinks, attempting the BG record (Anne's 18:49) is halfway the last section and going strong. With the bad weather we had since the start at 4am she deserves a medal as well as the record. Yiannis

I heard Nicky was on schedule for 18hour finish. Fantastic running!

Totally agree Derby, having experienced conditions that started fine going up Steel Fell and ended up with all 4 of us (Stolly, Lucas, myself and Martyn) all trying desperately to put on our waterproof trousers and gloves at Esk Shelter and only just managing it (we were pretty close to hypothermic by then), I can only sit here agog at Nicky's stamina and fell running ability, go Nicky!!
