This race was the best i've ever done, i teamed up with the funniest man on the route after my 2 team mates withdrew due to injury. Flat rola cola is the future! i'll never bother buying expensive energy drinks again! One very nice touch was to have names on rucksacks-it really helped take your mind off things when you could encourage people by name as you passed them. As for timing? i predicted 16-17 hours but came in at 12.48! Brilliant how we all clapped each other in and were announced by the marshall! still on a high!!
Really enjoyed the 50, managed 12:10 good to see so many familiar faces on route.
Cheers Steve, but the 50th is nothing compared to what you achieved mate. A massive respect to anyone who did the 100.
Well done Hopey, Paulo et al!! Some good times. As people say, to a degree, completions an achievement. Is everyone doing the 100 next year then!!?
Some great successes announced here. The whole weekend was filled with enthusiasm from both sides. Those marshals were as enthused as the runners. The runners' achievements made a big impact on the marshals and anyone else watching. Awe and admiration were universal. Superb stuff.
Well I am very pleased with my time in the L50 11hrs14mins!!
And then of course I thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations all weekend and cheering the other runners in as they completed! Cracking weekend.
Not sure whether to do the 50 again next year (this was my secodn time) as the 100 just seems too far....huge respect to those who attempt and complete the 100.
Well done all
