Well I didn't die,I enjoyed my run although I did take it very steady, I run round with my mate, my plan was to run halfway round with him then head for the finish at my own pace, however when the weather changed and he looked like he was suffering a bit I decided that I wouldn’t of been much of a mate if I just ran off and left him, so I stopped with him and encouraged him a bit, we crossed the line together. We were towards the back of the field not quite last but I would guess not far off. I found it reasonably easy but that is no doubt because of our steady pace, if I had pushed on from the start I am sure I would have been well knacked.
I had no problems with the legs holding up. Thanks for the photos, we never made it to the cakes but I recognise the two ladies getting there well deserved cakes in the photos.
Well done to everybody that competed today.

Well having gone poorly at Weasdale (never seemed to be able to get going properly) I thought I'd do Sedbergh cos there was lots of climbing - it's good training for the CCC. I took the first half steady and then got going on the third (and last) climb before CP4 (crumbs it was hot and sweaty work to there). The rain came just as I passed CP4 and was good encouragement to move quicker up to traversing climb out of Bowderdale. I got running properly at the top of that and had a pretty rapid last third.
After spraining my ankle last year coming off Arant Haw and walking 11 miles nursing a very rapidly growing melon foot last year it was nice to complete the course in good order. Considering I did the first half fairly steadily I'm pleased with 3:15.
Great route, good organisation, thanks to Jon, all his marshalls and the tea ladies. I hope no-one got too wet!
