Plenty of food and drink at the checkpoints (none at Edale Cross). Apparently there are hot dogs somewhere near Brand Top...
So you won't starve but maybe take a few favourites for in between bits.

cheers kenndre , i always carry something to nibble on and like the sound of hotdogsis the parking far from start and how long a walk is it
The checkpoint food is great! Fruit salad in rice pudding, oranges, soup, hot dogs, golden syrup cake, jam doughnuts, crisps - have to say the penguin biscuits made me heave last year and I have not eaten them since! I carried a large bottle which I kept refilling with water at each checkpoint. You have to take your own cup with you if you want a cup of tea/soup if I recall - I bought a collapsible cup which was very handy.
There is parking near the start however it feels like miles away when you have to walk back to the car after the finish!
thanks sarah sounds we'll be well fed then and im sure it'll be a long walk back to car alright
I'm not sure there's any "official" parking, but plenty of local residential roads (obviously need to park considerately)
mmm... rice pudding/fruit salad at Edale, and doughnuts at Chelmorton are my faves![]()
Best of luck everyone, have a great weekend.
Daz - take it steady and pace it well and you should achieve your 13:30 goal. Most importantly, enjoy yourself!
Hello,
Does anybody know if you can get maps on the day?
Thanks
Matt
