Lakeland 100 - 2013

I've got an old pair of Walsh PBs that are virtually bald (actually I've got loads of virtually bald fell shoes) and was wondering about cutting up an old camping mat and glueing a few layers on the sole to make a d.i.y L100 special :thumbup:

Yip, seems to be quite a few doing it but you are being outdone by Sunderland Strollers.......

There are 4 doing the 100 and.....amazingly.....about 25 or more (inc me) doing the 50.

Apparently its the attraction of drinking the night away with Stevie Boy Foster!!!

It was the promise of Steve sharing his Guinness that clinched it for everyone

Yea over 30 strollers now...a couple of none drinkers though.

All that core work Ash, should be a six pack! A couple of non drinkers? Soft drinks cost more than the hard ones!

With the BG done in 2012, it had to be the L100 in 2013 for me. It looks like there'll be quite a few familiar faces on the starting line.

The only sections I've done so far are Braithwaite to Dalemain (then ran to Rheged and got the bus back). I borrowed some Hoka Mafetes and, on the whole, loved them. Next time I'd need half a size bigger ( see earlier post somewhere about half sizes ) as the toe box is a little too small for most feet apparently.

I'm up for big reccies on the course as well as the usual BG reccies.

There were a fair few last year I think too. I'm sure there were some in a pub watching the Olympics opening ceremony with me and my mate!?
