I really enjoyed this last year (low key and really well organised), but said I wouldn't do it again as the route's a bit tame from Askham out to Boredale (and back again on the way in), and having done a recce not long before the race I'd seen enough of the road in to/out of Howtown. Having said that, it comes at the perfect time to get a bit of a L100 marker in, so reckon I'll be there. Might go trail shoes rather than Mudclaws this time.
Shame this clashes with XOTF :closed:

Yeah you're not wrong. I intended to come along to the XOTF night do after running this last year, but as it turned out there was no chance of that happening! So I'm saying nowt re XOTF this year, but hope to put in an appearance!
Quite fancy doing this again if I can wangle the time off from Christmas. Is Joe guaranteeing snow again? It would be less appealing if we get heavy rain instead!
You may need snow shoes Hank! I really enjoyed it last year but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do it any quicker and the weather might not be as good either...........so for that reason, I'm out!
Might pack the skis too for the descent off Sticks Pass!
Just had another look at the video from last year and it really was quite amazing........erm should I or shouldn't I?
