To keep the good name of runners with east York's ldwa after Rudolphs when I finished at dinner time I went in the kitchen and helped out for 5 hrs to equal the balance as they were short handed hope you had a good run everyone.

Indeed they do splatcher, it's easy to forget there volunteers. And have a lot longer day then us and deserve all credit
Nice one old un, looked like a cracking day to be romping!
One for the hardcore LDWA runner I think. The Regular Irregular from Brockholes near Holmfirth - I'll be doing it tomorrow with Merlin (dog). Last did this in 2008, & I was the only runner. Although I felt more like a swimmer at times, & I suspect the same is likely tomorrow. Not often I finish first though! 22 miles, be there or be sensible.
How did you get on Andy?
I finished in 3:48 which was 20 mins faster than in 2009. Winner did 3:42 after leaving us on big climb on second lap. Hope to see you at Hebden?
This is a brilliant route. I did this in 2008 too! Not as a runner as you were only one. If I'd of know at the time I'd of ran it as I've not got 1st woman for years :-)
I agree though, it's a great route. Food stops are like full meals!! Apparently in the LDWA events there is quite a competition for who puts on the best CP food. Runners don't get to do that bit though :-)
Good to see you Spookster! I finished in 4:30, limping. That's 4 mins slower than in 2008, & conditions were far drier this year. I was feeling pretty tired before I started this time, quite apart from injuries & the usual dog delays (stiles, lead tangles etc). Merlin was still going strong at the end though - he's never been so muddy. I'm off to the doctor on Thursday to see about my hip. 3:48's a pretty good time - I should think you'll have got home by the time I finish the Hebden, so I'll look out for you at the start.
Does anybody have a map of Peelers Hike, already have the typed route, need the map ?
I did the Scarborough Rock LDWA on 5th Dec. 24miles (or 16mile option). This one is really fabulous folks, super scenic route, plenty of lumps, not to be missed. Plenty run it, tho I somehow just managed to be the first runner back through the door :w00t:
