Thread: Coley Canter

    Re: Coley Canter

Had a trot round this this afty as I'd finished the Xmas shopping I needed to do and I can't make tomorrows recce. Its a really enjoyable run with the going very soft in places. I think I might have gone a bit wrong on the route back into the finish - so many paths to choose from. Hopefully it'll be flagged in on race day. Lots of leaf mulchy lanes & paths, stiles and slippy chewed-up fields. Looking forward to it.

That looks good fun!, wish I could get there, as I know bits of the area/route, but I'm already committed to the Denby Dale Travellers 'Man v Bike' that morning

Cheers for the heads up on this WB and to Karl for showing/being the guide on the way round. A good muddy run on a brill route. Looking forward to race day.

Thanks to Karl and all the marshals for arranging this seasonal mudfest.
No idea who won, as they'd have been home, showered and had a spot of lunch by the time I staggered in.

Heads up this race is having new life breathed into it and will be back this festive period. Full details are on the Northowram Pumas website I cant put a link up as the website seems to have crashed at the moment. Some slight changes in routs to make it start and finish from the Pumas home base and a hike in price but will now include prizes. Should be as good as ever.

This should be the link to all the details. Not strictly a fell race but traditionally enjoyed by the fell racing community, and nice to see a new club resurrecting it.

    Is there EOD?
I'm reluctant to enter anything in advance at the moment as prepayment appears to work as a jinx on random parts of my legs.
Good to see the Canter back.
