He certainly has -the training must be going well in defence of his English Championship!

And there was me thinking a sub-35 minute race might bring more than a measly 55 points, but at least it's a start! If the knee holds up, could be Stanbury Splash next Sunday & then Wadsworth Trog for February - more bogs!

right, so, 8 of us at Lamb's Longer Leg!
    using official results:
    Winner (Si Bailey) - 23:58
Tindersticks - 31:44 - 68pts (no improvement on previous January score)
    MickTor - 31:50 - 67
    Marvin - 33:57 - 58
    Hobbsy - 34:46 - 55
    BritNick - 38:02 - 41 (no improvement)
    Stagger - 38:13 - 41
    DazTheSlug - 39:25 - 36
    cyclops - 46:51 - 5

cyclops - that's still better than the 4 pts I got at Winter Hill last year!

cyclops/MickTor - pts are calculated as 100-percentage of how much slower than the winner you were
    e.g. using BritNick's time of 38:02 compared to winner's time of 23:58
easiest way to explain is convert times to seconds, so:
    38:02 = 38x60 + 2 = 2282 secs
    23:58 = 23x60 + 58 = 1438
    so, 2282 - 1438 = 844 secs slower
    844/1438 = 0.5869263, i.e. 58.69% slower, so 41.31 pts = 41 to nearest whole point

N.B. Stagger's time of 38:13, although 11 secs slower than BritNick's, works out as 40.54, which is still 41 (showing that dominion's calculator is spot-on (although never in doubt!))

He's certainly done for me. Last year, 69 points. This year, I was a minute quicker, but only 58 points.

    100 - 58.69 = 41

Is the full calculation that I use. Can't remember off hand where I put the rounding in.
