    Final comment:

    I've been sifting through my memories of the event and now I remember wherer Longdogs was. I did take a jelly baby - thanks ever so much.

    I think this is another feature of our fantastic sport - a small and often overlooked feature, but very significant and indicative of the sport as a whole - that people will stand for ages in out of the way places in inclement conditions to offer encouragement like this to fellow runners.

    Actually, i think i said hurry up cos i need a pee... I just went out cos loads of my mates were running, i live near there and i had the day off. It was great fun, seriously. I was going to go to Gran Canaria for the weekend but couldn't afford it!

    Just put my entry in for next year (Sat 18th Jan). Lovely start to the year but missed out on it in 2013. Seen a couple of names I recognise on the entry list so far.
