Night run tomorrow with Dark Peak
Good one, how are you shaped for the HPM? Think you'll be back?

Steady 10 miles in a local state forest early this morning.. plenty of bear warning signs always adds a spring to the step.. probably 6-7 miles fairly hard interval session tonight..

    Re: Today's Training

Set off to do BG recce over Maiden Moor, down through the slate mines to the Coast to Coast route up to Honister. The intention then was to see how long I had with a view to go over to Great Gable and back finishing off over Leg 3 back to Little Town!!! However....the weather man was right!! 65 mph gusts, heavy rain conspired to push me back as I tried to get over towards Great Gable! Managed 5.5 miles in a bit under 2 hours!! Enjoyed, almost, every minute!!!

    Re: Today's Training

2 short runs today, bit over a mile first thing with the dog, helped to strech the DOMS out of my legs from TiggerTor.

4 or 5 miles with 2 decent sized hills this evening. Hoping to fix my bike up and take the scenic route home tommorrow, normal 25 mile round trip on the bike on Thursday followed by the Accellerate headtorch run on Friday night.

4.5 mile run to warm up, 6 strides, 4x5min reps (2.5 into wind, turn round) hard as hell! 3.5mile run home. Really tough session

Told Jules Heather and Jude that I,'ve stood down. I'm the reserve now. I.'ll not get any serious training before the big race and it seems risky to go into such a long race in the middle of the night in winter in my Condition.

I've almost lost my hobble after Tigger Tor PaulE!

Should be at Friday nights run also if I can arrange transport from Sheffield. Tricky one to get to without car. Hear its going to be a good run!

might be able to help you mick, depending on where you are in sheffield. I'll be leaving it till the last minute though, as I'm on toddler bath duty before leaving.... I'm in Walkley so if you're anywhere near there or can get here then I should be able to give you a lift.

Are you the same Mick who put a message on the Accellerate facebook wall?

Sunday morning 5 mile cross country club race, 500ft of climb, I came second must try harder.

In the afternoon did 11 miles with 1800 ft of climb, snow under foot from about 500ft, strong winds and driving snow.

Today, 7 miles and 2100 ft of climb snow again under foot.
