As a great believer in style over substance I have been spending a great deal of time just fannying about (technical blogging term) with the layout of my blog. I think it's nearly looking the part if nothing else -> Stolly's Running Blog

It's looking good Stolly. I also spent some time recently tinkering with layout/photos/colours - I'm fairly happy but fear another tinkering session will occur at some point!

Nice pictures again, Ian. I was wondering though, do you think the stark B&W images lose some of the subtle shades and hues of the snowy scenes? It would be good to see the colour originals to compare.

In Ultraploddernick so far this year there's Lamb's Longer Leg, The Hebden and Kinder Trial, among other bits and pieces.

Thanks Nick. Most of these were taken on a heavily overcast day - even the ones where the clouds can be seen breaking up were devoid of sunshine so there were no hues or gentle shades to be seen. Just about the only colour to be seen was Tom's blue bum-bag.

Another time, perhaps, if I get some sunshine with the snow.
