If it's the path we saw when running up there a few weeks ago then I would partly agree. It will definitely be faster but looks like it belongs in a city park. I quite liked the existing route

Does anybody know if the path is complete and if so is it open to be used on a reccy?

To be honest whether the race follows the new track or goes the old way won't make a huge difference, maybe a minute or two - the new path avoids the sometimes boggy drop down to Sell Gill pot, which is what a 5 minute hop from Whitber Hill, and just meets the Pennine Way a bit further up. In my best grumbly old curmudgeon voice "if I had my way the 3 Peaks route wouldn't follow either of those tracks"

If you had your way I suspect the route would go through that boggy bit where I went in up to my neck and, if you weren't doing the Fellsman, you'd be there with your camera photographing the carnage!

Does anyone know when we find out if we've secured a place in this i.e. entry verification process?

Yes, I'm on that list thanks Derby, but I thought entry qualifications had to be verified first?

Could start an interesting debate but I've no idea if they are verified or not. If you've done the qualifiers then you should be in I'd have thought
