    3 Peaks Yacht Race

Due to illness I have had to pull out of the 3 Peaks Yacht race, so a replacement is needed for me.

The event begins on 16th June.

If anyone is interested and requires more information, could you please send me an email:
    [email protected]

    Thanks

    Natalie

Best of luck to anyone doing this, weather looks horrible at the moment http://www.gwynedd.gov.uk/camera/abermaw/webcam2.jpg
I think a few beers in Merioneth Yacht Club would be preferable to Bardsey Sound and Caernarfon Bar today

Looks a good race this year.. Krugel Motion have a fair sized lead and the other teams did scafell in the night, Tim Austins team were going or a 7 hr target which is good going, especially if its night..

Times weren't that quick on Snowdon either.

Sounded an exciting finish.. KM got caught, then got ahead to land at Corpach and had a decent run on the hill.

We love MCR won King of the mountains. Unlucky with having the lakes in the dark, probably the worst leg to do in the dark, well definitely.. we had a bit of luck last year in only doing Snowdon in the dark and it was light as we decended past Clogwyn.

I was holidaying in Corpach this week, I walked pasted the yachts, while running up The Ben on a training run, I met a few of the race competitors as they were coming down.

Hope I didn't get in their way.

    Runners needed for 2013 race.

Mike Jaques is an experienced racing skipper who is looking for two good runners to join his boat "Nunatak" this year. He is aiming to win the event overall having been third in previous years.

There is no cost involved as all you have to do is get yourself to Barmouth for the start on 14th June and then back from Fort William on or around 17th/18th depending on wind and tides (there will be plenty of others heading south to catch a lift from).

Sailing experience would be useful but not essential as you'll just have to concentrate on the three runs and possibly a bit of rowing if the wind dies!

Details of the race can be found on http://www.threepeaksyachtrace.co.uk/

Mike is also looking for runners to join him on the Scottish Islands Peaks Race from 15th May.

Details of this can be found at http://www.scottishislandspeaksrace.com/

Mike's wife Pam is a doctor who kindly stopped to help me when I had a bad accident at the Langdale Horseshoe in 2011.

If you are interested please contact Mike on [email protected] or Pam at [email protected] and they'll be able to give you any further info you need.

    Bon voyage.

Have a crack with them, I'm not sure how quick you need to be. I guess the website gives you an idea.
