Great races for juniors and seniors alike. Thanks to Morgan and all those involved.
Brilliant race. Made the mistake of looking down while negotiating the last bit of the Nick. Icy rocks and sheer drop I cacked myself. Spent most of the descent considering the madness of running flat out on ice and snow with rocks jutting up in it and the likely injury if I tripped or slipped. Must be getting too old / normal. That said , arriving in one piece was all the sweeter.
Third year of this run, nearly didn't make it, stuck on A1, for an hour n `alf, got here with `alf hour spare. Always a spectacle, very atmospheric in the `Nick`, although the snow n ice on top, stopped me beltin` it back to the finish as much as I normally would ( future races on the mind ). Same time as last year barring a couple o secs, no photo stops this year either, blame it on my `slightly`worn Speedcross studs (and setting off from the traps like a greyhound, jiggered after first couple o mile). Big thanks to the organisers and mtn rescue been out there, cheers `n`thanks everyone.

What a great race. Super route and slightly extreme conditions made for a memorable day. Many thanks to the organisers and marshalls especially the race starter (I assume Morgan Donnelly) who I saw picking up about half a carrier bag of dog dirt from the start/finish area a couple of hours before the race.
Missed you in the pics Deadlegs you will receive honarable mention in the next race report.
Missed this event three years on the bounce due to various lame excuses, next year, conditions looked just about right, slightly worse than Noonstone 2010, makes you feel alive running in these conditions.
Some Photo's here on GOOGLE Thanks to Andrew Martindale for braving the weather.https://plus.google.com/photos/11266...297?banner=pwa Attachment 6802
